Guns may save your life but at the cost of your soul; Jesus will save your soul, but it may cost your life.

He will defend the afflicted among the people and save the children of the needy; he will crush the oppressor.

Looking back, she says she wouldn’t change a thing: “I don’t think any kid should be hungry. I don’t. And it’s my belief that some of these kids who go to school and get meals, that may be the only meal they eat that day.”

“Sometimes I would like to ask God why He allows poverty, suffering, and injustice when He could do something about it. But I’m afraid He would ask me the same question.”

Disarming the Church

For 400 years (until Augustine), the Church believed that, when Jesus told Peter to put down his weapon on the night of his arrest, he disarmed all Christians for all time.

There is nothing Christian about owning a gun, using violence to defend oneself betrays our lack of faith in the One who will one day raise all the dead.

Why?

“Newtown is a quiet town. I’d never expect this to happen here. It’s so scary. Your kids are not safe anywhere.” —Lisa Bailey, a Newtown resident with three children in Newtown schools to CBSNewYork.com today.

God Bless America?

It would have added 14¢ to the cost of a Papa Johns' pizza to insure his employees and help make sure sick people aren't handling our food. The CEO of McDonalds makes $15,000,000 a year while paying his employees minimum wage. Walmart's owners are some of the wealthiest people in America, but over a hundred people died in a factory with no fire exits because they were too cheap to pay for fire prevention.

God bless America? No...if you believe the Bible, you understand God is not a respecter of persons and God will judge America for its treatment of the "least of these."

Just saying...

Instead of working to put "Christ" back in "Christmas," we should be working to put the teachings of Jesus back into Christianity. (1 Cor 2:2)
