Two eagles were lazily soaring over the desert when a jet-propelled plane sped by them, its exhaust spouting flame and smoke. As it went out of sight, one of the eagles remarked:

"That bird was really in a hurry."

"You'd be in a hurry too," said the other, "if your tail was on fire."
